How the Inuvi App Collects, Uses, and Shares Data

The Inuvi mobile application (“the App”) collects and processes only the minimum data required to generate your health readings. This section explains how the App accesses, collects, uses, stores, and shares data.

Data the App Collects

The App does not collect your name, address, phone number, email address, or any other direct identifiers.

The App only collects the following limited categories of data:

a. Demographic data you provide

Used solely to support the accuracy of the health measurement algorithms:

These values are not used to identify you. They are used to complete your reading; Xim, the manufacturer of the Lifelight technology used by the App, also retains a copy of this data, without any identifying details, as part of the medical device record it is required to keep — see Data Retention below for details.

b. Signal data for your reading

To generate your pulse rate and blood pressure readings, the App uses Lifelight’s certified measurement technology.

c. Technical and device data

Used only for performance and diagnostics:

No device identifiers are collected for advertising or tracking.

How the App Uses Your Data

The App uses your data only for:

The App does not use your data for advertising, profiling, or marketing.

How Your Data Is Shared

a. Measurement results

Your measurement results are not shared with anyone other than you. They are displayed only within the App on your device.

b. Processing partners

Certain data is shared only where necessary to provide your reading:

These are securely sent to Xim’s processing service, which powers the Lifelight technology, solely so the measurement calculation can be performed and returned to the App. Xim does not receive your name, contact details, or any personal identifiers.

c. Hosting and infrastructure providers

We use secure cloud and technology providers to operate the service. They cannot use your data for their own purposes.

We do NOT:

Data Retention

Separately, Xim — the manufacturer of Lifelight, the certified measurement technology used by the App — is required, as a medical device manufacturer, to keep a record of every measurement it processes. Xim retains the following for 10 years:

Xim does not retain your name, email address, or any other contact details as part of this record, does not retain facial images, and has no ability to recreate a facial image from the data it holds. This data cannot be used to identify you.

After the 10-year regulatory retention period, or when no longer required by law, Xim deletes this data.

Data Deletion

You can stop the App collecting any further data at any time by no longer using the App, or by uninstalling it from your device.

Data held only on your device — your measurement result history — can be deleted at any time by clearing the App’s data or uninstalling the App.

Xim’s measurement records (described in Data Retention above) do not contain any information that identifies you, so neither we nor Xim can locate an individual person’s specific record within that archive in order to delete it on request. In addition, because keeping these records for 10 years is a legal requirement for medical device manufacturers, Xim cannot delete a measurement record early, even where it could otherwise be located, for as long as that legal retention period applies.

If you believe the App or Lifelight holds any data that could identify you, or you have any other question or request about your data, contact us using the details in the main Inuvi Group Privacy Policy and we will look into it.

Security Measures

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including:

Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

Details of how to exercise these rights are available in the main Inuvi Group Privacy Policy.

Children’s Data

The App is not intended for users under 18.
